Ozeania | New Zealand

High mountains, covered in snow and ice. Steaming, bubbling volcanoes. Vast woodlands. Some almost drowning in cool rain, others thriving in warm subtropical climates. Steppe and endless coastline.

New Zealand. An archipelago full of extremes.

I travelled to this beautiful region in 2019. To visit my sister, who spent her gap year there. Together we explored the two largest islands of the archipelago (North and South Island), visited friends and family, drove mile after mile on narrow roads, slept night after night in the back of a car, were overwhelmed every day by the breathtaking beauty of this part of the world.
